Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all site required documentation relating to safety issues, i.e. accident reports, inspection reports, training logs
  • Analyse safety data to coordinate the safety efforts for continual improvement
  • Train employees on all Company and customer safety policies and procedures, including evacuation drills
  • Develop and conduct training on safety regulations and company policies
  • Perform job site analysis, determine employee exposure, institute safe work procedures and detect existing or potential risks and to recommend corrective actions or preventative measures are completed in a timely manner
  • Oversee safety inspections on facilities, systems and equipment to ensure they do not pose any environment health hazard, document findings, and implement corrective actions
  • Work with relevant engineering departments to provide good ventilation and Indoor Air Quality, adequate lighting and acceptable noise levels as per NEA’s guidelines
  • Oversee ISO certifications (9001:2015, 45001:2018 & 45005:2020)
  • Management of Pandemic and prevention of airborne viruses as per ISO45005:2020 to manage the risks and protect work-related health, safety and well-being
  • Oversee safety department and to effectively manage Safety Coordinators
  • Promote the importance of a strong environment, health and safety culture by providing training and establishing/directing SHE programs
  • Main lead in WSHMS Audit Programs
  • Establish and Manage WSH Incident Investigation and Analysis Processes
  • Lead in the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for Company use in hearings, lawsuits and insurance investigations
  • Represent the Company in community or industry safety groups and programs
  • Develop and oversee departments’ safety plans to eliminate workplace injuries, accidents and incidents
  • Oversees facility and workplace auditing program to evaluate workplace and fire safety compliance and drive improvements
  • Prepares and presents information, status updates, safety dashboard for tracking of accident last occurred and monthly reports to senior management team
  • Performs Fire Safety Manager & Data Protection Officer roles and responsibilities
  • To perform other duties as and when assigned

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably a MOM Registered WSH Officer
  • Min 5 – 7 years of experience in Workplace Safety & Health
  • Independent, analytical and precise decision-making are essential qualities of the individual
  • A hands-on individual with excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to mobilize and engage diverse teams
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as a good team player
