Job Description & Requirements

* Reporting to the Project Manager, plan and advise management on accident prevention, safe work methods, legal requirements affecting safety and health.

* Prepare forms to be implemented at the workplace such as safety checklist, Risk Assessment, Method Statement, Safe Work Procedures, etc.

* Deploy Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) programmes.

* Ensure that all safety compliance and processes are adhered to by all workers.

* Assist in managing and monitoring site operations, workers, and subcontractors.

* Communicate effectively with all levels and attend daily site meetings.

* Identify unsafe acts or practices and promptly correct any unsafe conditions with implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

* Conduct safety committee meetings and safety audits for management reporting.

* Maintain HSE controls and processes within Company’s policies and government regulations.

* Conduct daily toolbox meetings at the worksite.

* Conduct safety training/briefing on Risk Management’s standardized procedures to the respective site team.

* Establish quality safety management policies and procedures.

* Ensure Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is applied on site at all times.

* Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations.

* Responsible for effective site administration, including site safety and control of materials on site.

* Perform any other duties as assigned by Project Manager/Superior.

Requirements

* Min. Diploma in engineering (electrical/mechanical).

* Possess a valid registration with MOM.

* Familiar with ISO documentation.

* Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in the construction industry.

* Self-driven and able to work within tight deadlines and shift work, if required.

* Able to work independently with a positive attitude.

* Possess good leadership and organizational abilities.

* Good communication skills and computer literate.

* A team player who is hands-on and meticulous in his work.
