Workplace Safety and Health Officer (LTA Project)

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist the Safety Manager in overseeing and leading the Safety team & subcontractors in the implementation of Company's WSH systems at sites.
2. Monitor safety and health aspects of all projects and workers' safe work practices.
3. Assist in carrying out risk assessments for all projects and maintaining a high level of safety and housekeeping at the site.
4. Function as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer as required under the Workplace Safety and Health Act and perform duties in accordance with the Code of Practice for Environmental Control Officers.
5. Report to the Project Manager and liaise closely with the Site Team on workplace safety, health, and environmental issues to maintain a high level of safety and housekeeping at the site.
6. Enforce all safety requirements and in-house safety rules and regulations.
7. Prepare, organize, and implement safe work procedures and measures in accordance with MOM Regulations.
8. Conduct investigations of WSH infringements and industrial accidents and recommend remedial actions.
9. Conduct daily inspections of project work and activities.
10. Assist with the rehabilitation of workers after accidents or injuries and ensure they experience a satisfactory return to work.
11. Organize monthly WSH Committee meetings and prepare HSE reports, submitting statutory reports in the required formats, including safety indices.
12. Liaise with MOM, NEA, PUB, and other relevant authorities on all WSHE issues.
13. Develop documentation for the Project Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures, etc.
14. Conduct internal HSE-related training for site personnel.
15. Manage and lead a team of safety workers.
16. Organize HSE promotion and health campaigns, and training courses to enhance HSE awareness.

Additional Requirements

Candidates with at least 5 years of experience in LTA projects will be an added advantage.
