Job Summary
The Wintel engineer will be responsible for designing, implementation, and management of Windows-based infrastructure (servers, desktops, laptops).

Skillset Required

1. Provide on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis
2. Perform routine audits of systems and software and perform system backups
3. Perform standard or project change request as per change window
4. Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
5. Responsible for system security compliance, health check & server hardening
6. Document incident RCA report, the configuration of the system, and system performance tuning
7. Monitor availability and performance to ensure proper functioning of server systems and applications
8. Proactively provide assessment and improvement on current infrastructure
9. Plan and participate in disaster recovery tests; experience in full system recovery and restoration
10. Monitor utilization and plan for server systems capacity upgrade
11. Ensure compliance with IT security standards, policies, and procedures
12. Diagnose and resolve any system issues or problems
13. Liaise and work with other technical teams including Application Developers and vendors
14. Administer enterprise-sized VMware-based virtualization infrastructures covering vCenter and stand-alone ESXi environments version 6.5 and later.
15. Design, plan, implement, and administer IBM enterprise server and storage technologies in support of underlying virtualization infrastructure.
16. Install, configure, and integrate servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure.
17. Perform backups, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure.
18. Build highly available server clusters in a vSphere environment.
19. Monitor and troubleshoot system performance within the VMware environment.
20. Build and configure virtual networks (Standard Switch / Distributed Switch)
21. Create and maintain VM templates used for rapid deployment of virtual machines.
22. Assist with the coordination and implementation of hardware maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
23. Replace Network LAN/WAN servers supporting the virtualization infrastructure.
24. Ensure the security posture for the virtualization environment by monitoring system security and documenting system configurations
25. Build and maintain VMware templates (i.e., adding software packages, patching, hardening to VM templates)
26. Conduct capacity review and planning for VMware environments. Good knowledge on HA, DRS, FT, VMotion, and Update Manager.
27. Perform ESX hosts upgrades, Standard and VDS network troubleshooting, Virtual Center upgrades, storage management
28. Administer global Active Directory Infrastructure
29. Administer global DNS and related Zones
30. Implement and manage Domains, Domain Controller
31. Group Policies, PowerShell scripts, and Domain upgrades for large organizations.
32. Plan and implement Group Policies Objects (GPO) to ensure compliance with security standards for domain controllers
33. Troubleshoot and maintain high availability for Active Directory, GPO
34. Identify opportunities, continually review, and improve the security posture of Active Directory.
35. Administer global Active Directory Sites/subnet design and deployment
36. Knowledge of Microsoft permission types, precedents, and managing ACLs
37. Collaborate with Internal Infrastructure Teams to resolve escalated support issues
38. Promote and demote domain controllers as required by data center migration activities
