POSITION PROFILE:
Based in: Singapore
Job Site: Yishun
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be instrumental in managing daily operations within the warehouse to optimize productivity. Utilizing your strong leadership and communication skills, you will oversee operational performance and efficiently coordinate tasks to achieve our operational objectives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day activities in the warehouse, ensuring accurate and timely receipt of goods from suppliers/vendors. Allocate proper storage based on product type, size, and priority while coordinating order picking, packing, and shipping activities.
Receiving
- Handle receiving operations for cargoes, materials
- Monitor incoming cargo schedules and work with forwarders and CS to manage urgent receiving
- Liaise with internal process operations to ensure cargo are stocked in timely
- Ensure cargo received in good condition and right quantity with proper documentation
- Handle cargo inspection during receiving and damage cargo claims
- Internal pallet creation and labelling for selected products
Safety, 5S and Risk Assessment
- Safety and 5S PIC to manage safety & 5S in the warehouse including conducting monthly inspection and ensuring actions are followed-up and implemented
- Prepare risk assessment, conduct necessary training and ensure regular review
- Promote occupational health and safety measures, enhancement and training for members
- Attend to internal & external audits, handle incident reporting and liaise with EHS team on any safety matters
- Manage periodic maintenance for warehouse equipment and facilities and coordinate with Facility and suppliers to upkeep maintenance
Material Ordering & Purchase
- Manage packaging material planning, ordering and purchase
- Manage new packaging part registration via global & local system
Ability / Competency Required:
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external partners.
- Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
- Prefer 2-3 years of logistics experience in Logistics or supply chain, preferably in manufacturing sector.
- Analytical Thinking: Capability to analyze data related to logistics operations for informed decision-making.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Aptitude for identifying issues quickly and developing effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in documentation and processes.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating rates with carriers and service providers.
- Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
- Knowledge of DX/BPR/RPA Systems: Familiarity with these systems is advantageous.
- Understanding of Regulatory Requirements: Knowledge of customs regulations, shipping laws, and compliance standards relevant to logistics operations.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust strategies based on changing business needs or market conditions.
