Warehouse Supervisor

Job Scope

Stock Receiving and Inspection

• Oversee the receiving of incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of delivery orders and inspecting items for quality and quantity.
• Record and report any discrepancies or damaged goods to suppliers and relevant departments.

Packing and Unpacking

• Participate in packing and unpacking items to ensure goods are handled with care.
• Ensure goods are properly labeled, stored, or prepared for delivery according to company standards.

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of stock levels and update inventory systems regularly.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.

Warehouse Operations

• Organize and maintain a clean, orderly warehouse layout for efficient operations.
• Ensure proper storage of goods to prevent damage or spoilage.

Shipping and Dispatch

• Coordinate the packing and dispatch of goods for delivery, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure all activities, including packing and unpacking, adhere to workplace health and safety regulations.
• Conduct safety checks on equipment and tools used in packing and handling goods.

Equipment and Maintenance

• Ensure all packing tools and warehouse equipment are well-maintained and in good working condition.
• Report any equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.

Process Improvement

• Identify and implement improvements in packing, unpacking, receiving, and overall warehouse operations.
• Develop strategies to enhance efficiency and minimize errors.

Reporting

• Prepare regular reports on stock levels, received goods, packing efficiency, and operational performance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in warehouse operations or logistics are advantageous.

Experience

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, including packing, unpacking, and stock receiving.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly for stock handling and documentation.
• Physical ability to lift and move goods as needed.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills.
