Job description

General Purpose: Monitor and control warehouse inventory by overseeing, directing, and coordinating the movement of supplies, products, and merchandise into and out of the warehouse to both internal and external parties.

Main Job Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing inventory deliveries.
  • Assign delivery/pickup stations.
  • Oversee and assist with the loading and unloading of deliveries.
  • Allocate and organize storage locations according to requirements.
  • Assist with establishing procedures and documentation requirements for inventory management.
  • Sort inventory according to established procedures.
  • Mark inventory with identifying information.
  • Update and maintain storage database.
  • Track and manage inventory by completing monthly inventory stock take.
  • Maintain inventory records and databases.
  • Identify potential inventory shortages and communicate with relevant departments.
  • Coordinate the purchase of new inventory.
  • Provide regular inventory reports to management.
  • Pick and prepare orders to be shipped.
  • Ensure proper packaging and labeling of shipments.
  • Ensure shipping counts match the order documents.
  • Process and provide necessary paperwork for shipments.
  • Coordinate delivery sequence according to orders and balancing weight for appropriate delivery vehicle.
  • Process and coordinate customer returns.
  • Receive and verify accuracy of incoming inventory.
  • Resolve any discrepancies between paperwork and inventory received.
  • Inspect and ensure quality of incoming inventory.
  • Process returns.
  • Ensure accuracy of shipping and receiving documents.
  • Enter all information into the system for deliveries and shipments.
  • Maintain all records/logs relative to shipping and receiving.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all housekeeping and warehouse standards.
  • Procurement:
  • Develop and implement procurement plans.
  • Issue purchase orders and manage the procurement cycle.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with industry standards/company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Establish supplier performance review process.

  • Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Diagnose and resolve server, equipment, and phone settings issues.
  • Assist the operations team with technical problems to ensure minimal disruption to customer service.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and fix issues promptly.
  • Issue Escalation and Collaboration:
  • Relay unresolved issues to Level 3 support to ensure timely updates and changes to the code base.
  • Work closely with Level 3 support to understand complex issues and solutions.
  • Document and communicate recurring issues to the relevant teams for permanent fixes.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing quick and effective resolutions to their problems.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach in all interactions and support activities.
  • Track and report on customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify and suggest improvements to current support processes to reduce repeated errors faced by customers.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the support team.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster robust collaboration between internal operations and technology teams.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members, other departments, and customers.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss ongoing issues, solutions, and improvements.

Education and Experience:

  • Diploma in Warehousing/Logistics Management.
  • Inventory control experience.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications including MS Word and Excel.
