In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software developers to design, build, and enhance cutting-edge observability platforms, providing 24/7 visibility into the bank's technology systems and infrastructure. This includes direct management responsibilities such as performance reviews, career development, and hiring.
• Architect and implement highly scalable and resilient observability solutions that efficiently collect, process, and analyze large volumes of metrics and logs from the bank's applications and infrastructure. Focus on data visualization, alerting, and actionable insights to ensure systems and services are performing as expected.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap for observability platforms, acting as the technical architecture subject matter expert. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and ensure alignment with overall technology strategy.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for the observability platforms, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Champion best practices in software engineering, including code quality, testing, and security.
• Partner with SRE and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of the observability platforms into the bank's operational processes. This includes ensuring 24/7 operations, high availability, and adherence to stringent service level agreements.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively. Lead agile project teams and deliver observability initiatives on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years of experience managing software development teams.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and deploying large-scale, highly available software systems, ideally in the observability domain.
• Strong understanding of observability concepts and technologies, such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, and Kibana. Hands-on experience with these technologies is a plus.
• Experience with modern software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively across teams and influence technical direction.
• Experience managing project budgets and resources.
