VP : Senior Software Engineer FX - (Hybrid)

Citi FX Technology is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in the Options Pricing Technology team. The individual in this role will work on a suite of existing pricing apps and also contribute to the design and development of Strategic Options Pricing platform. The individual will work with other technology team members based in Singapore, Canada and London. This is a hands-on role and requires someone with a strong development background.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with Front office Trading and Sales team(s) to understand the requirements and convert them in to concrete deliverables.
2. Serve as a mentor and coach mid-level developers.
3. Provide expertise in application programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
4. Implement new functionalities by writing good quality code and automated tests.
5. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws.

Qualifications:

1. 6-10 years of Java/C# experience in writing solid APIs.
2. Java 11+, Asynchronous programming, microservices architecture and patterns, low latency systems design and implementation.
3. Experience working with messaging middleware platforms like Solace, Kafka, etc.
4. Experience using container platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.
5. A polyglot programmer who can adapt to different programming languages.
6. Strong understanding of automated testing techniques.
7. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration.
8. Nice to Have: Experience working as a technologist in the front office space across any of the derivative asset classes, team leadership experience, full stack development.

Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
