VP, Senior Network Engineer (Data Centre), Group Infrastructure and Cloud, Technology & Operations

In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Overview

• We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in data center network technologies, specifically Cisco ACI and BGP EVPN.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage data center network solutions with a focus on Cisco ACI and BGP EVPN.
• Lead the configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the network supports business requirements and is scalable.
• Drive improvements in network architecture, performance, and resiliency.
• Perform network capacity planning, monitoring, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and company policies.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on data center technologies.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Cisco ACI and BGP EVPN.
• Familiarity with MPLS, VXLAN, spine-leaf architectures, and other data center technologies.
• Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.).
• Preferred Industry Experience: Previous experience working in the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving network issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
