Position Summary
The VP, Sales - APJ will lead and manage Outseer's APJ sales team, overseeing a group of Account Managers responsible for driving the adoption of Outseer software solutions and related services in both new and existing accounts. This role includes setting and achieving ambitious sales quotas, cultivating a motivated and focused sales culture, and developing and executing strategic sales initiatives.
As a vital member of the global Sales leadership team, the VP, Sales - APJ, is tasked with crafting and implementing regional sales strategies aligned with Outseer's go-to-market goals. With deep expertise selling fraud prevention solutions to the financial services vertical, the VP will leverage this domain knowledge to drive revenue growth. This individual will combine a strategic mindset with operational excellence. Additionally, the VP will bring a strong coaching orientation, keen attention to detail, disciplined process management, and a passion for deal-making.
Essential Duties
- Sales Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the sales organization, ensuring alignment with Outseer's overarching business objectives. Act as a hands-on deal coach, empowering the team to effectively implement consultative selling strategies and negotiating tactics for optimal results.
- Team Management: Oversee the performance of Account Managers, with the ability to be hands-on when necessary and to lead by example while providing career development, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Quota Achievement: Set and achieve aggressive sales quotas, ensuring the team is highly motivated and focused on achieving their targets.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies, including go-to-market plans, account planning, and sales enablement initiatives.
- Pipeline Management: Drive disciplined pipeline development and management, ensuring consistently qualified opportunities that support accurate quarterly and 12-month bookings forecasts.
- Customer Relationships: Foster strong relationships with key customers and prospects, understanding their needs and driving customer satisfaction.
- Sales Enablement: Provide the sales team with the necessary tools, training, and resources to achieve their goals.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities.
- Talent Development: Recruit, hire, and develop top-tier sales talent to build a high-performing sales organization.
Desired Requirements
- Experience: At least 15 years in sales leadership, with a proven ability to manage and expand enterprise software sales teams.
- Domain Expertise: Minimum of 6 years selling fraud software solutions to the financial services vertical.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Industry Acumen: In-depth knowledge of financial services and fraud prevention sectors.
- Private Equity or Similar Experience: Skilled at maximizing impact with limited resources in fast-paced, evolving environments.
