Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a Project Management Office (PMO) Executive. You will be part of the founding key team member, working closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and other team leads in the transformation of the business.
- Strategic Planning and Governance:
- Collaborate with the CIO, Senior Management, Programme, and Project Managers to streamline and standardize project management practices.
- Assist the CIO in executive support in various areas such as scheduling and presentation for stakeholder alignments.
- Monitor progress of UOBAM Technology Strategy program, project and initiatives.
- Develop best practice templates and examples for team-wide adoption.
- Ensure alignment of projects and programs with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Implement and maintain technology governance frameworks and project methodologies.
- Perform secretariat duties for technology-related committees.
- Project Management:
- Create executive-level presentations to support strategic programs.
- Set standards for program and project management across the team.
- Utilize project management tools and software to track and report on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
- Implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
- Support cost management initiatives.
- Assist in the annual budgeting cycle, including planning and strategy.
- Monitor project budgets and financial performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Implement financial controls to ensure cost efficiency and resource optimization.
- People Planning and Management:
- Collaborate with the CIO team and HR on talent acquisitions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Communication and Staff Engagement:
- Perform change management and awareness activities to the rest of the business teams.
- Ensure effective communication and transparency of project goals, progress, and outcomes to all stakeholders.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance project management skills across the team.
Job Requirements
- Education and Experience:
- Degree in Computing or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years in Management Consulting, Program/Project Management within a PMO function or technology organisation.
- Experience in project management, business analysis, and business process re-engineering.
- Experience in the financial services or asset management industry is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Jira and Excel, with expertise in visual layout, presentation design, and messaging.
- Familiar with RFQ processes and standards, including specification, issuance, and contract negotiations.
- Strong client management and interaction experience.
- Professional Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and improve work and process inefficiencies.
- Self-driven with excellent multi-tasking skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Adaptable and comfortable in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills.
- Team player, able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
