About the Department
The Regional Fraud Uplift Office resides under the Group Retail COO. Its primary responsibility lies in managing fraud-related setups and operating rhythm together with partners across Fraud Risk Management Business Risk and Control, Analytics Compliance etc. at Group and Countries to deter, detect and resolve fraud, protecting our customers and our bank.
Job Responsibilities
- Creating detailed project plans and overseeing workstreams within respective Fraud and related business units.
- Collaborating with overseas offices to align the structure in accordance with Fraud Policy and Group Structure.
- Managing regular updates with country for Country and Group forums on the Uplift progress.
- Aligning on progress updates and blockers within country project teams for communication to Group.
- Maintaining robust governance around decisions made, risks escalated, timeline changes, and other project-related matters.
- Escalating key risks, defining mitigations, and communicating accordingly with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitoring progress, dependencies, risks/issues at the overall project and workstream level.
- Facilitating a cadence for all market leads to share on fraud trends, typologies, POCs, regulatory or areas for best practices cum mitigation.
- Aligning country metrics and country fraud forums as proposed by Group.
- Partnering with relevant stakeholders in-country to align on reporting to Group.
- Identifying key risks and mitigations and providing relevant progress updates.
- Partnering with Group counterparts to provide regular updates and necessary clarifications of progress.
- Partnering with internal stakeholders for regulatory engagement as necessary.
Job Requirements
- 8-10 years of direct experience in the financial industry, preferably in anti-financial crime risk management functions.
- Domain knowledge in Fraud and other Financial Crime risks related are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build constructive partnerships and challenge where required.
- Demonstrates in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge in related fields.
- Solid experience in Risk, Control & Governance, Operations, Assurance, and Analytics.
