Portfolio management: Actively engage with portfolio companies post-acquisition to develop and implement strategic plans aimed at enhancing value. This requires a hands-on approach and a deep involvement in operational improvements and financial performance monitoring. Also requires capability to work with team on roll-up strategy with cross boarder M&A.
Key stakeholders management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with portfolio management, founder family, minority shareholders as well as all key stakeholders.
Deal exit management: Actively engage in exit activities for portfolios, including building up exit story and exit strategy, exit process management, due diligence management, SPA negotiation and closing support
Deal execution: expect the candidate to gradually transition and participate in deal sourcing and investment activities in longer term. Identify, evaluate, and execute on investment opportunities in line with Asia Fund strategy. This includes conducting comprehensive due diligence, financial analysis, and market research, with a focus on buyout investment in well-established industries. Collaborate with legal, finance, and other relevant teams to ensure a smooth transaction process.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in private equity, management consulting, or a related field. Post-investment management experience or deep operational consultancy experience is preferred.
Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of industry trends and dynamics, with a focus on sectors relevant to automotive, EMS manufacturing, and automation manufacturing.
Education: A degree in engineering field is preferred,
Candidates with operational experience in manufacturing or other hands-on, operational projects are highly valued.
Business travelling within Asia (~40%).
Fluent Mandarin speaking is crucial to engage Greater China stakeholders.
