About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

1. Manage and drive Wealth revenue – This includes Investment and Treasury products
2. Provision of expertise and advisory to sales representatives and Customers on wealth related products
3. Acquire new to wealth businesses for the Bank
4. Sales Performance Targets
5. Responsible for achieving individual targets
6. Cross sell and up sell to grow key product portfolio
7. Minimise attrition of port to competitors
8. Coaching of sales representatives weak in this product field
9. Enhance Customer Satisfaction and Retention
10. Enhance customer service by providing specialised expertise required in managing wealth related products
11. Understand customers’ financial profile and needs to develop strategies for customer’s requirements
12. Retain high net worth customers through attentive customer care and consultative approach to sophisticated demands
13. Acquire all the necessary qualifications and credentials
14. Conduct market updates and briefings
15. Conduct regular product and selling workshops
16. Proactive participation in Customer workshops, seminars and marketing events
17. Participation in the UOB’s Sales Leaders Activities
18. Upholding of Bank’s mission and core values
19. Adherence to Bank’s internal policies, business processes and regulatory requirements including compliance with FAA and related Acts

Job Requirements

1. A recognized tertiary education
2. Professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Financial Planner or other relevant international investment certifications, e.g. US series 6, etc. will be advantageous
3. 5 years of experience in investment advisory, preferably in the capacity of a banking sale professional or in an asset management environment
4. Passion for investment business
5. Strong interpersonal & coaching skills
6. Possess relevant accreditation (M5, M8, M8A) would be preferred
