VP, Front Office Software & L2 Support Engineer (Java & JVM), Financial Markets/ Trading, Banking

Location: Charterhouse Partnership, Singapore

Job Type: Hybrid, Permanent, Highly Competitive

Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality software, including end-to-end design, development, and support of large-scale data processing systems built on Java tech stack.
• Write robust code along with accompanying test suites, ensuring clarity and articulation of implementations.
• Provide technical solutions to support the bank’s Financial Markets business and other projects such as regulatory books of work.
• Collaborate with global teams including business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders across multiple locations.
• Liaise with Front Office, Middle Office, and various functions to gather requirements and design smart, scalable solutions.
• Coordinate with other teams in Technology to provide second line support.

Minimum Requirements:

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience, preferably in investment banking/Financial Markets/Trading environment.
• Experience with Java 17, Multi-Threading, and Performance tuning in JVM.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Java Restful API design and development.
• Experience with distributed caches like Hazelcast/Redis/Memcached.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps, with SCRUM and Agile experience.

Good to Have:

• Development experience in functional programming, such as Haskell/Scala or others.
• Spring Boot and Integration experience.
