Video Editor (Part-Time/ Contract)

Substance is seeking a talented and driven Video Editor to join our team on a part-time or contract basis. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage into high-quality videos that align with our brand's messaging and aesthetic. Your creativity and attention to detail will help us create visually compelling content across various platforms, engaging our audience and enhancing our digital presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Video Editing: Edit raw video footage to create polished, professional-quality content, including promotional videos, social media clips, and live streams.
• Story Development: Collaborate with the content team to conceptualize and structure video narratives that effectively communicate our brand's message.
• Visual Effects & Transitions: Utilize visual effects, transitions, and sound design to elevate the overall quality and engagement of the videos.
• Content Management: Organize and maintain a library of video assets, ensuring easy access for future projects.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor video performance metrics, using insights to inform future editing choices and content strategies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, marketers, and other team members to ensure a cohesive brand narrative across all video content.
• Trend Awareness: Stay updated on video editing trends, tools, and best practices to continually refine your skills and enhance our video offerings.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing style and capabilities.
• Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling and how to create engaging narratives through video.
• Attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with creative teams.
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to feedback and make revisions to align with project goals.
• Passion for video content and an eagerness to innovate within the field.
