About this role
We are looking for a dynamic, commercial, client-focused sales manager with a strong understanding/working experience of the ETF asset class to join our wealth team in Singapore. The role reports directly to the Head of Singapore Wealth and will work closely with the AxJ iShares Wealth Distribution team.
The Singapore Wealth team is responsible for the strategy and distribution of BlackRock's products, including mutual funds, managed accounts, ETFs, customized solutions, and others, via a broad set of distributing intermediaries to service retail end-clients across the full wealth spectrum from retail to private banks.
The successful candidate will drive ETF-focused engagement and have relationship management responsibilities over distinct ETF buyers (such as DPM, Active Advisory, digital, brokerage & robo clients), servicing clients in Singapore and the SEA region. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a strategy for key intermediary accounts under his/her coverage operating as the Wealth team's product champion for ETFs in the region. Specific activities will include client engagement, activating sales campaigns, and driving product co-creation opportunities to grow the adoption of ETFs in the overall wealth business in Singapore and SEA.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate, drive and execute an integrated ETF growth strategy with intermediary clients ETF buyers in Singapore and support the growth strategy in the SEA region.
- Actively enable cross-channel sales opportunities, closely partnering with internal teams, to position a complete set of BlackRock capabilities to clients.
- Form strong relationships with senior leadership and leverage their influence to drive results.
- Identify how global and local industry trends and macro factors affect our clients and develop innovative client propositions.
- Engage with internal product development stakeholders to develop BlackRock's investment solution and product offerings for our clients.
- Provide key market intelligence to help guide sales strategy, current product enhancement efforts, as well as new product development initiatives.
- Identify and execute on new client partnerships. Understand each client's due diligence process and investment requirements and develop a strategic relationship with relevant gatekeepers and senior management through active coverage.
- Be an accessible senior stakeholder to the team to inspire team members and support the development of talent bench to meet business objectives.
Knowledge/Experience:- 6+ years industry experience in sales/ETFs within the asset and/or wealth management industry.
- Ability to develop new business and products and drive commercial success.
- Self-starter, personable, able to work as part of a team and collaborate and connect cross-functionally both regionally and locally within BlackRock.
- Detailed ETF product and market knowledge as well as more generalist experience working across capital markets, other asset classes, and investment vehicles.
- Ability to form deep relationships with decision makers within the Singapore/South East Asia financial intermediary sector.
