We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Third-Party Engagement Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

  1. Manage the relationships of vendors that sit within iWPB Operations throughout the contract lifecycle, reporting, projects and production work within Banking Services.
  2. Provide effective vendor risk and supplier management to ensure that HSBC meets its operational, business and/or regulatory requirements to mitigate any regulatory breaches, civil or monetary penalties and to avoid any damage to shareholder value and reputation/brand image.
  3. Drive operational excellence - to lead and direct vendor management operation in country to deliver an agreed set of business objectives.
  4. Support department head on innovation and transformative projects to future proof Target Operating Model (TOM) through the delivery of strategic initiatives and continuous improvements (e.g., Bank wide Operations Transformation (BWOT) Programme, War on Manual Controls etc).
  5. Manage the stakeholder relationships and act as the primary point of contact to Business relevant stakeholders in Business.
  6. Perform management reporting, projects relating to vendors as well as production work within Banking Services.
  7. Managing regional/global engagement relating to service providers.

Requirements

  1. Minimum Degree holder with 5 years of relevant experience.
  2. Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles.
  3. Proven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions.
  4. Highly developed communication and influencing skills.
  5. Ability to prioritize and work independently under pressure within a team environment.
  6. Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment.
  7. Demonstrable experience of managing operational risk within appetite during operational change and re-organization.
  8. Significant experience of implementing control frameworks.
  9. Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  10. Strong communication skills.
  11. Presentation skills and drives self-learning including technical/system knowledge.
