Job Title:
Credit Risk Analyst
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Risk Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit risk analysis, financial analysis, and projections, with experience in credit rating models for Large Corporate customers.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement annual plans for credit review activities, ensuring effective communication with Head Office departments in Japan and credit review function staff in other regions.
Continuously review and propose improvements to the IADAP CRG's review process to ensure adequacy and efficiency of controls against market practice.
Participate in department-wide initiatives and perform other duties assigned by the Department Head.
Conduct continuous credit reviews of individual borrowers, assessing the appropriateness of risk ratings and classification of Borrower's Category for the Bank's credit assets booked in Asia Pacific, adhering to internal grading policies.
Participate as a team member in on-site credit reviews and thematic review assignments, focusing on risk ratings, credit underwriting quality, and robustness of credit risk management.
Provide value-added recommendations to Business Units based on potential issues identified in credit reviews.
Follow-up on open issues and conduct validation reviews on remediation actions taken by auditees, addressing Business Unit concerns accordingly.
Continuously monitor and update IADAP CRG and local branch management on regulatory changes and market conditions for new and emerging risks.
Travel within the APAC region, if required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Economics, Business Studies, Administration, or Management, or equivalent preferred.
7-10 years' experience in credit risk analysis, credit approval, and/or credit review functions, with audit experience being an added advantage.
Logical thinking and evidence-based judgment.
Good writing and communication skills, with ability to identify and articulate issues/observations, and proficiency in Japanese desired due to frequent communication with Head Office.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work well in a team and contribute individually within stipulated timelines.
Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point, with added advantage for knowledge/experience in Power BI, Power Apps, and programming applications.
Strong background in credit risk analysis, financial analysis/projections, and experienced with credit rating models for Large Corporate customers, with added advantage for experience/knowledge in Structured Real Estate finance, Project Finance, Securitization, LBO, Banks/Non-Banks Financial Institutions, natural resources, and Islamic Finance.
