Position Overview:
The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for defining, leading, and executing the overall sales strategy to achieve both short-term and long-term growth objectives. This is a senior leadership role that requires a proven track record of developing and executing high-impact sales strategies, managing large sales teams, and driving business performance at scale. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to influence decision-making across multiple levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company’s overall business goals and growth targets.
- Lead the entire sales team which include sales managers and representatives, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive sales targets and quotas, ensuring alignment with revenue and profitability goals.
Team Management and Development:
- Recruit, mentor, and build a high-performing sales team.
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to ensure the team's success and career growth.
- Create and implement effective training programs and performance metrics to drive sales excellence.
Revenue Growth and Market Expansion:
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends, positioning the company as a leader in the industry.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and other departments to drive customer acquisition and retention strategies.
- Cultivate relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to expand the company’s market presence.
Sales Performance and Reporting:
- Establish and monitor sales performance metrics, ensuring accountability for sales team results.
- Analyze sales data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing sales strategies.
- Regular reporting of sales performance to the top management.
We would love to hear from you if:
- You possess minimally a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electromechanical) or equivalent.
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management or executive sales role.
- Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth, managing sales teams, and achieving high sales targets.
- You have knowledge in Product Design, Manufacturing Process, FMEA, DOE Optimization, Root-Cause Analysis, Six-Sigma or TRIZ methodologies.
- You have a strong grounding in and the ability to apply PLM/CAD/CAM/CAE (FEA, CFD) in solving industrial problems.
- You have the ability to build relationships with prospective customers through the use of various prospecting techniques.
- You are professional, with a strong sense of ethics and morals.
- You are self-motivated.
- You have exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
