Responsibilities

The Vice President, Project Delivery, Asia Pacific will lead the Regions Project Delivery agenda and portfolio of change projects, ensuring all projects are managed in line with the project management methodology to achieve successful project delivery and resourced according to PME level requirements. The role will assist the COO and fellow board members in ensuring start-up performance meets the BCA benefits associated with the change, bringing positive challenge and identification of risk to the overall business performance.

  • Identify high impact and high risk projects that need Board interventions / programme interventions
  • Set organizational strategy governing direction and conduct of project management, including the application of appropriate methodologies
  • Manage risks and ensure solutions to problems are implemented in line with change control processes
  • Provide project leadership and constructive feedback and support to Cluster/Country project teams and Sector teams
  • Leadership and ownership of O2D areas on behalf of the region, managing O2D start -up performance and compliance and ensuring BCA process is well managed through O2D
  • Responsibility for achieving high standards and supporting wider OE strategy for the region
  • Leadership for replicating implementations for same account across the region based on the modular standardization approach
  • Projects delivered on time, on budget, within scope and within agreed quality standards
  • Set project management strategy governing direction and conduct of project management, including application of appropriate methodologies and alignment to the business strategy
  • Leadership of selected portfolio, programmes and projects
  • Intervene in projects as required to ensure benefit realisation and manage central project management budget
  • Accountable for managing and governing the DePICT project management methodology and risk management process
  • Lead and direct an effective risk management process and supporting tool set to identify and mitigate commercial and operational risks.
  • Lead, direct and sponsor ACT change management methodology and approach
  • Review and approve business cases and challenge the benefit realisation
  • Ensure regular review of performance and corrective action plans are implemented for critical projects
  • Sponsor the deployment of lessons learnt output and feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Lead and direct a health and safety culture
  • Lead and direct an effective health check and quality management review process and supporting tool set
  • Lead and direct the development of the project management community and the people management strategy to deliver business benefits through: skills assessment, training programmes, processes and toolsets
  • Define skills and techniques to be deployed to keep the department current
  • Build strong working relationships with Senior Exec level managers to ensure business risk is managed before project issues arise
  • Engage and influence business leaders to develop effective project risk management and improvement plans for critical projects
  • Cross functional collaboration and build strong working relationships and manage expectations of all stakeholders
  • Coach and mentor direct reports

Requirements

  • Experienced in DePICT project management methodology, ACT change management methodology and DMAIC process improvement methodology
  • 10+ years experience in leadership roles, leading and managing cross-country, multicultural teams
  • Experience in the logistics / supply-chain industry
