Vice President, Credit Evaluation (Financial Services Industry)

Our client is a leading financial services provider, offering flexible financing, leasing, and many other solutions to individuals and businesses (from SMEs to corporations) across different industries. Currently seeking an individual who possesses strong credit risk management experience accompanied with proven leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

1. Credit Analysis: Conduct detailed credit assessments for loan portfolios (domestic and international) by evaluating financial statements, credit proposals, and other relevant data.
2. Industry Analysis: Monitor industry trends and economic developments to assess potential risks to credit portfolio and identify emerging opportunities that may impact lending decisions.
3. Risk Mitigation: Recommend risk-based pricing and credit risk management strategies to maintain balanced risk-reward profiles.
4. Portfolio Monitoring: Regularly monitor credit portfolio performance, identify early warning signs, and work with Credit Evaluation and Admin teams to ensure timely actions.
5. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of risk analysts, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in credit risk management within the financial services industry, with expertise in credit analysis, loan evaluation, and industry assessment.
• Minimally a Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Proficient in credit risk models, methodologies and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Comfortable to travel overseas when required for business needs.
• Business proficiency in Chinese language required to interact with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
