Vice President, Corporate Finance

Hong Leong Finance offers a diverse portfolio encompassing a wide range of financial services, including deposits and savings for both business and individual customers, government assistance programmes for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, corporate finance, and advisory services for corporate entities.

Job Description

We are looking for dynamic, dedicated, and self-motivated individuals to join our growing Corporate Finance department.

We advise local and foreign clients across a wide range of industries on initial primary offerings, secondary/dual listings, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, equity capital raising, corporate restructuring, privatisation/delisting, and fairness opinions.

Our market niche is our growing pool of listed and unlisted SME clients, and through offering them corporate services, we aim to help them achieve their full potential.

The selected candidates will be actively involved in supervising day-to-day deal execution and origination activities as team leaders.

Responsibilities:

1. Market and pitch for potential deals
2. Plan and supervise due diligence processes
3. Conduct deal origination and pre-mandate assessment as well as book-building exercises and distribute securities
4. Identify issues and address, resolve, or mitigate them
5. Review relevant documents such as board memos and prepare submission documents
6. Hold discussions with clients, professionals, and authorities
7. Ensure compliance with internal procedures as well as relevant regulatory requirements
8. Guide and train Corporate Finance Officers
9. Continuing Sponsorship Registered Professional work

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance, or a related field
2. Registered Professional as required by Catalist Rule 204 (7) (b) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate finance advisory work or related advisory work, and at least 3 listings in the 5 years prior to the application
3. Equivalent experience in other exchange jurisdictions is welcome
4. Self-motivated, willing to take initiative, with strong problem-solving skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
