In this role, you’re expected to:
The Custody Implementations & Change Manager provides responsibility and oversight to onboard new custody clients while supporting existing clients with incremental growth asks. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. This role has responsibility for volume, quality, and timeliness of end results, affecting the overall performance of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
- Focus on timely and accurate delivery of all custody-related activities and products being implemented for clients, delivering superior customer service and resolution of customer concerns related to the onboarding process.
- Responsible for project management in the custody space and managing cross-functional relationships with all teams when applicable. Work closely with Implementation managers when multi-product deals are being executed.
- Collaborate with the team on new work procedures.
- Responsible for customer interaction, documentation issuance, review, and support in conjunction with partnering teams.
- Demonstrate a high level of diligence, motivation, and organizational skills.
- Contribute to the motivation of staff and peers through constant and open interaction with team members. Support cross-functional training to enrich their skill base.
- Optimize own capacity to achieve higher productivity levels and output.
- Understand client requirements and implement them correctly. Ensure adequate support for new customer requirements and initiatives.
- Ensure a strong and robust risk environment with effective controls. Establish risk management practices and maintain a strong culture of risk and controls in the team through various processes and checkpoints.
- Deal with variable (occasionally complex) issues with substantial potential impact.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in the custody world and sub-related products.
- Team player working closely with partners across countries/regions.
- Good interpersonal communication skills, able to communicate with internal and external business partners.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including strong management and oversight of project activities.
- Advanced execution skills in a multi-tasking mode, extremely well organized, and able to prioritize effectively.
- Able to partner with businesses and other support functions at any level to execute the role effectively.
- Proficient knowledge of English (written and spoken).
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially a Master’s degree.
