Job description
Vice President - Capital Markets / Corporate Finance
Support the origination, business development, execution and marketing of private equity investment opportunities (originated from both investors and aspiring companies / issuers)
Primary responsibilities will include preparation and review of marketing materials, review of key transaction documents for the financing or investment in end clients, including pitch books, investment memorandum, marketing presentations.
Development of various types of financial models to validate debt and equity investment or financing structures. Undertake and perform valuation, compile research materials and perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis on markets, companies and industries.
Actively lead in the development of relationships with other financial partners in the region, and assist in generating leads and relationships with new and existing clients in order to expand the business.
Affinity for current events, critical issues, and relevant news.
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree or above, major in Finance, Accountancy, Business or a quantitative discipline is a plus.
Possess at least 7 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, private equity, structured financing, primary and private placement and M&A in Asia Pacific and or management consulting.
Direct investing experience with a private equity fund, fund of funds, institutional investor, sovereign wealth fund, or similar entity, with a focus on equity and quasi-equity investments preferred.
Demonstrated track record of successful transactions for HKEX IPOs as a principal officer/Deal execution/private equity funds and/or direct equity investments in developing markets.
Possess strong financial modelling skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Possess strong communication, networking and project management skills.
Be a highly motivated self-starter and a collaborative team member.
Deal execution experience in bond issuance by both Southeast Asia issuers and Mainland issuers is highly desirable.
Demonstrated track record of closing successful transactions including private equity funds and/or direct equity investments in developing markets.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision.
Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and VBA. Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and other computer skills.
CFI holder would be an advantage.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
Mandarin fluency is strongly preferred, along with solid knowledge of the China market.
An analytical, inquisitive and meticulous mind-set with ability to prioritize, problem-solve and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently & with others.
