Our client, a leading maritime company in Singapore, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vessel Performance Manager to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and performance across their fleet.

Your new role

1. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for vessel operations, including port productivity, crane utilisation, and idle time.
2. Drive bunker consumption optimisation initiatives, aligning with HQ strategies and promoting cost-conscious practices.
3. Enhance the quality and integrity of operational data, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis.
4. Collaborate with agents, ports, and terminals to expedite dispatch, reduce port costs, and optimise sailing speeds.
5. Identify and address vessel management gaps to maximise fuel efficiency and passage planning.
6. Analyse vessel reports, validate data, and monitor actual distances sailed to ensure optimal performance.
7. Conduct regular cost savings reviews and present findings to management.
8. Actively participate in post-fixture vessel operations, including off-hire and speed claims.
9. Monitor vessel routing and liaise with weather service providers.
10. Engage with vessel owners regarding performance improvement initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies or a related field with at least 8 years of working experience.
2. At least 2 years of experience in performance management within the maritime industry.
3. Experience as a Master Mariner.
4. Strong understanding of container networks and their operational requirements.
5. Excellent analytical skills and a data-driven approach.
6. Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
