Job Title: Van Sales Manager

Reporting into: Head of Sales

Salary: $4,000 - 5,000

Job Description

  • Sales Management:
    • Pursue and drive overall sales targets. Identify new opportunities in the market and develop strategic plans to expand the customer base. Oversee sales performance, providing insights and suggestions during periodic sales meetings to enhance overall results.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
    • Manage and maintain relationships with current clients while proactively developing new customer accounts. Follow up on customer reorder requests, coordinate and plan delivery schedules.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers and staff.
    • Understand customer needs and address concerns promptly.
    • Negotiate sales terms and pricing with customers.
  • Sales Reporting and Analysis:
    • Track sales performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
    • Generate sales reports and provide insights to sales management.
    • Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
  • Stock Management:
    • Prepare and load stocks into the delivery truck accurately, ensuring that all products are handled with care.
  • Sales and Delivery:
    • Ensure prompt and timely delivery of Sustenir’s products to our customers, adhering to scheduled routes and delivery times.
    • Regularly visit assigned retail outlets to sell products and deliver stock as per schedule.
    • Ensure proper product display and shelf rotation to maximize visibility.
    • Check stock levels and replenish inventory where necessary.
    • Ensure execution in outlets, including share of shelf and promotion compliance.
    • Promote new products and special promotions to customers.
  • Shelf Topping:
    • Replenish display shelves in supermarkets, ensuring that products are well-stocked and attractively presented.
  • Returns Handling:
    • Manage returns from customers, ensuring proper documentation and processing.
  • Invoice Issuance:
    • Work closely with Sales Admin to issue invoices accurately to customers, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Product & Industry Knowledge:
    • Stay informed about Sustenir’s product range and promotions to assist customers with any inquiries.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and pricing shifts to maintain competitive positioning.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Manage delivery schedules and route planning.
    • Collect payments from customers and ensure accurate transactions (if required).
    • Regularly inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition and reporting any issues promptly.

Requirements:

  • Valid Singapore Class 3 driver's license, with a clean driving record (Company van provided, can be driven home).
  • Previous sales experience in the FMCG industry is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in delivery or sales roles is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to load and unload products and handle deliveries efficiently.
