Job description

Our ambitious environment goals need your innovative ideas. Join us to build better together.

At VINCI Construction, we aim at forging a sustainable world. It means reducing our own footprint and proactively reinvent ourselves in what we build and the way we build it. We promote low-carbon methods and materials, implement circular economy, and commit to preserve nature in all our activities.

Through our projects, we provide solutions delivering positive impacts on the environment.

At Bachy Soletanche Singapore (BSS), we are pioneers in geotechnical and foundation engineering, shaping the city’s underground landscape for nearly 50 years. As part of the global Soletanche Bachy group, we are committed to innovation, technical excellence, and environmental responsibility. Our projects, from MRT stations to complex underground structures, integrate cutting-edge solutions to minimize environmental impact while ensuring long-term sustainability. Through advanced soil treatment, low-carbon materials, and efficient resource management, we are redefining foundation engineering with a greener vision.

As part of our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, we are looking for an Environmental Coordinator VIE (F/M) to enhance our environmental data processes across Singapore and the APAC region.

Does it feel like a mission you would be ready to take on? Keep reading!

What can you expect as an Environmental Coordinator @BSS?

Reporting to the APAC Manager and Singapore Manager, you will play a key role in improving data accuracy, processes, and reporting systems.

As such, your responsibilities will include (and not be limited to):

Regional Environmental Training & Webinars for APAC (30%)

  • Organize and lead webinars and training sessions across the APAC region on various environmental topics (carbon reduction, biodiversity, circular economy, resource efficiency, etc.).
  • Educate teams on environmental data reporting, best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure teams are equipped with knowledge and tools to implement sustainable solutions.

Environmental Data & Process Improvement for the Singapore BU (70%)

  • Enhance environmental data reporting for the Singapore Business Unit.
  • Deep dive into data accuracy and processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support the development of Power BI and SharePoint tools to streamline environmental reporting.
  • Reduce the margin for error and improve overall data quality.

Environmental Initiatives

  • You’ll have the chance to work in an environment where management is highly engaged and supportive of sustainability efforts. All of your ideas and initiatives are welcome: you’ll have the opportunity to propose and lead environmental projects based on what you see on site.

What about you?

According to our hiring managers, you’ll be a great fit if:

  • You are an engineering school or university graduate, with a degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. This way, you’ll have a first academic and theoretical knowledge of our environmental stakes.
  • You understand the basis of environmental reporting and standards.
  • A proficiency in tools like Power BI, SharePoint, and Excel is welcomed.
  • You define yourself as a creative thinker who approaches environmental challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Your curiosity and sociability will help you integrate quickly, adapt to different environments, and effectively engage with diverse teams across regions.
  • You need to feel confident enough in your English level, in terms of writing and speaking.
  • Having your driving license is a bonus.

Quick Reminder about the VIE program:

  • Be a European citizen aged between 18 and 28 on the date of registration, whatever training level.
  • Be a graduate student, with a fluent level in English.
  • Have never done any V.I.E. in the past.
  • Not have worked previously in the host country.

Why should you join BSS and VINCI Construction as a VIE?

  • You will gain a great working experience thanks to an inspirational working environment.
  • You will develop technical and soft skills through mentoring.
  • You will join a decentralized organization with decision-making close to the field.
  • You will thrive and be part of an attractive community: the Young Talents @VINCI Construction.

If you like what you’re reading and feel you could be up for the task, let’s meet!

We’ll have a first quick phone encounter to ensure we are aligned on what you’re looking for and what we can offer, before exploring these elements further during a second Teams meeting.

If we are still in step, it will time for you to meet Soletanche Bachy APAC Regional HSEQ Manager, as well as BSS’s HSEQ Manager.
