Unix Engineer | $ 6500 to $ 8500 | Central Region | Shift hours !

Responsibilities:

• Server installation, administration, and performance optimization with RedHat 7/8/9.

• Provides technical assistance and support for applications, hardware problems.

• Prepares evaluations and reports on system efficiency and utilization.

• Prepares a plan of action, implements changes, documents all work completed.

• Ensure RHEL and Solaris servers have the latest security OS patches.

• Knowledge on Microsoft Azure, Load Balancers, Firewalls, OS clusters, and Virtualization.

• User administration tasks on RHEL 7/8/9, IBM AIX, and Solaris 10/11 servers.

• Migration of servers from RHEL 7 and 8 to RHEL 9.

• Storage addition on RHEL/Solaris and IBM AIX servers.

• Solaris 10/11 OS administration tasks with zones/LDOMS and ZFS.

Requirements:

• Experience in RHEL 7, 8, 9 administration, implementation & troubleshooting.

• Experience in Linux clustering & VM level Linux cluster, OS installation, configuration, and fine-tuning.

• Experience in Linux security, OS hardening, auditing, NFS/DNS/Automount administration and LVM/GFS/Filesystem administration.

• Experience in hardware troubleshooting & vendor coordination.

• Experience in incident management, change management, configuration management.

• Willingness to be on 24x7 stand-by for service contract and maintenance services on a rotating basis.

Other Details:
Shift hours: Engineers have to be flexible for shift rotation.
Special Shift: 2 weeks (3 shifts): 9am-6pm / 7am-2pm / 2pm-9pm.
Night Shift: 2 weeks: 9pm-7am (4 days work, 3 days off).
