Underwriter Manager, International Financial Lines
You will represent the Company’s brand in the market, contribute to developing the Company in Asia and preserve the Company’s excellent reputation as a business partner and employer. Responsible for underwriting a profitable book of Financial Lines business in line with AXA XL and AXA Group strategy and standards.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
· Execute departmental strategy and achieve P&L metrics including verification of appropriate risk premium calculations to ensure profitability.
· Effective relationship management with clients and broker partners initiating opportunities for cross-selling offered products and ensuring account retention.
· Mange insured and producer relationships across large geographical territory.
· Maintain visibility in the market by effectively marketing to insureds and brokers.
· Ensuring client satisfaction as it relates to fulfillment of their insurance requirements.
· In coordination with other internal teams, determining appropriate reinsurance for risk placements.
· Leadership responsibilities - Lead and develop a team of Underwriters. Support and empower their development
· Operational responsibilities - Oversight on submissions including applications, policy wording, inspection reports, loss runs, and financial reports. Controlling timely implementation of new and renewed accounts according to quality standards. Reviewing loss control reports and managing policy endorsement requests to process any necessary changes to the policy.
You will report directly to the Singapore Country Manager with a secondary reporting line to the Head of International Financial Lines, Asia.
We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
· Bachelor’s degree and equivalent.
· Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills combined with a proven work ethic.
· Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, communication including active listening skills, networking, marketing and collaboration skills.
· Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, producers and brokers.
· Experience in mentoring underwriting staff of various experience levels.
