Job Description:

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for financial analysis and a knack for assessing risk? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your decisions directly impact the success of the business? If so, we’re looking for an Underwriter who can expertly evaluate loan applications and ensure that our lending practices are both secure and innovative. Key Responsibilities:

1. Loan Evaluation: Review and assess loan applications to determine creditworthiness and financial risk level.
2. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks associated with loan applications and develop strategies to mitigate those risks while ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
3. Decision Making: Approve, reject, or recommend modifications to loan terms based on the analysis, ensuring decisions align with the company’s risk appetite.
4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all underwriting decisions and ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with the loan officers to ensure smooth processing of loan applications and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Diploma in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Non-Degree holders who have relevant experience or certification in underwriting may be considered.
2. Minimum experience of 1-2 years in underwriting, financial analysis, credit assessment, or a similar role within the financial services industry, preferably in a fintech environment.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
4. Excellent decision-making abilities with a focus on risk management.
5. Proficiency in financial modeling, credit scoring systems, and underwriting software.
6. Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin languages.
7. High level of integrity, with strong accountability and positive attitude.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
9. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.

Working Hours:

• 2 rotating shifts: 10 am - 7.30 pm and 10.45 am - 8.15 pm
• 5-day workweek: Monday to Saturday, Sunday off + one additional off-day during the week
