The role requires working with multiple internal teams within Amazon, including those based in Seattle, Bangalore, Beijing, Dubai, and Luxembourg, from Financial Planning, Finance Operations, Tax, Accounting, and Legal, as well as external partners that include banking and financing partners, as well as regulators.
The candidate must be able to communicate both written and verbal complex Treasury concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-Treasury professionals. Proficiency in treasury management systems, global liquidity management structures, cash forecasting models, trade finance products, global connectivity strategies, bank relationship scorecards, and leading projects to achieve team goals is essential.
Self-motivation is a must, including working independently to partner with business teams, staying current with financial trends, and complying with industry standards and government policy. The successful candidate must have a proven track record for dealing with complexity and ambiguity in a multinational corporate Treasury team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of finance experience
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA skills
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting, and reporting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse, and SQL
