About the Role

TFS Energy Derivatives, a leading player in the Asian Oil & Energy Markets, boasts an impressive 20-year plus track record of delivering exceptional service to customers around the region. As we continue to expand our presence, we're seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Trainee Oil Broker.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Trainee Oil Broker, you'll embark on a comprehensive 6-9 month training program in Singapore, with the opportunity to relocate to Shanghai upon completion. Working closely with our experienced team, you'll develop the skills and knowledge required to:

1. Monitor financial markets and stay abreast of market developments to provide informed support to clients.
2. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of traded products, including new offerings and procedural updates.
3. Foster strong relationships with clients through regular communication, understanding their business objectives, and delivering tailored broking services.
4. Cultivate and expand existing client relationships while identifying opportunities to establish new partnerships.
5. Analyze market trends, data, and statistics to identify business opportunities aligned with client needs.
6. Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of pricing spreads.
7. Maintain precise and up-to-date trade records.
8. Provide support for day-to-day tasks, including ad hoc reporting, research, and client communications, as assigned by management.

1. Diploma or Degree in Business, Banking, Finance, or a related field
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
3. Ability to work with diverse groups and personalities
4. Highly energetic and motivated
5. Effectively bilingual
6. Willingness to travel and relocate as required
