Activités
We are looking for our new Trading Compliance Officer who will oversee the overall compliance of the Company's crude oil and petroleum products in physical and paper trading activities.
Anticorruption / Anti-Trust Compliance
- Implement and monitor the effective respect of the Company’s integrity policies and programs, including on anti-corruption and antitrust (the “Programs”).
- Communicate and promote the Programs within TTA and monitor the effective respect of the same.
- Perform corruption risk analysis and due diligences for new and existing counterparties, in collaboration with TTA management if needed. Maintain a secure and detailed archiving system of conducted due diligences and compliance checks.
- In coordination with the Branch Compliance Officer based in Geneva, deliver internal trainings on anti-corruption and anti-trust.
- Alert and update the Branch Compliance Officer of any incident of corruption, fraud or antitrust which comes to attention.
- Participate in business development strategies to define and conduct required compliance checks according to project specificities.
- Regular reporting to TTA Managing Director and coordination with the Branch Compliance Officer based in Geneva.
Market Compliance
- Daily trade and communications surveillance - review alerts and follow-up on alerts.
- Monitor and analyse the Company activities on financial and physical markets (interactions with trading desks, regular reports, ad-hoc monitoring, etc).
- Ensure activities are in line with applicable financial regulations as well as company trading policies. Analyze and review any regulatory change.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of monitoring procedures and compliance indicators to identify actual or potential market abuse scenarios and compliance risks. Develop or implement new tools to improve internal controls and enhance reliability of monitoring systems.
- Produce and deliver trainings on trading compliance requirements, policies and procedures.
- Actively support the development of the Compliance culture within the company.
- Regular reporting to TTA Managing Director and coordination with the Branch Market Compliance Officer in Geneva.
Accountabilities
- Compliance with all applicable regulations and rules regarding the trading activities of the Company.
- Submission of periodic compliance reports to senior management.
- Maintenance of all required compliance documentation on a current basis.
- Effective and efficient management of regulatory and other external inquiries and investigations regarding trading activities from a compliance perspective.
- Achievement and maintenance of a high level of knowledge and awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements by Trading, management and other Company staff.
Profil du candidat
- The ideal candidate would have a Master's degree with 3 to 7 years in Compliance/Market Compliance or any relevant position held in the commodity trading industry.
- We seek candidates with a solid grasp of Trading & Shipping activities, including a deep understanding of exchange rules and financial regulations (MAS, FCA, and CFTC), with an emphasis in compliance and control.
- Good understanding of the trading business, particularly in the commodities markets (including futures, options and swap).
- Strong understanding of market abuse risks and how they apply and materialize within commodity markets (physical and paper).
- Proven experience of trade surveillance and communications surveillance tools.
- Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills in English and Mandarin with the ability to apply these skills at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to adopt a variety of teambuilding and communication approaches to achieve desired results.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work creatively to achieve identified goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to see the next step and follow through on operational detail.
- Demonstrate the ability to build consensus with diverse stakeholders.
