SUMMARY: As the business continues to grow, Citus Trading is looking for an experienced back-to-back commodity trader to join the commercial team. Emphasis on ability to conclude back-to-back business without requiring the taking of open positions. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of back-to-back trading in the oil & gas industry. Role reports to the Trading Director.

THE ROLE:

1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers as well as identifying and pursuing relationships with new customers to expand customer base.
2. Facilitate the sale and purchase of oil/gas products with counterparties, negotiate favorable terms for the customer and the company.
3. Achieve the target profit of the respective book business plan through, including but not limited to:
1. Strategize a sustainable business flow/profit model;
2. Conduct necessary marketing activities to support strategy;
3. Execute/trade the strategy of the respective commodities;
4. Adequate risk management in price and credit;
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, industry regulations, supply & demand dynamics, international trade, and geopolitical factors;
6. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of contracts and other relevant documents.
4. Support Director in the area of your expertise.
5. Other ad hoc duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree.
2. 5-15 years of experience in back-to-back trading in an oil & gas trading environment, i.e. crude, gasoline, mogas, fuel oil, LPG, etc.
3. Strong network and contacts in your area of expertise.
4. Strong negotiation, communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills.
5. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
6. Able to work independently yet a good team player.
