Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Controlling and planning of internal and external financing (such as loans and credit lines) for the SEFE Group, including WIGA Group.
  2. Negotiation, conclusion, and supervision of credit facility agreements (internal as well as external) with a focus on trade finance facilities.
  3. Ensure ongoing trade finance operations: Conceptualization and authoring of the wording of guarantees, ordering of LOCs and guarantees with banks, ongoing monitoring of the guarantee inventory, including PCG's.
  4. Development of strategies and analyses regarding alternative and optimization options for the SEFE Group's Trade Finance Operations.
  5. Collaborate and engage with insurance brokers and insurance companies to provide a risk-adequate insurance cover for risks that cannot be absorbed (with a focus on credit insurance).
  6. Relationship management with banks, selecting and onboarding new banks that fit strategically and operationally for SEFE.
  7. Providing independent advice and support to SEFE's business lines in trade finance matters.
  8. Independent leadership of TF&IM projects.
  9. Subject matter guidance of junior staff/trainees/students in the TCFI department.
  10. Support in designing and implementing of TF&IM related processes in the SEFE group.
  11. Support in development and revision of guidelines and process documentation for the CFO department (for the remit of TF&IR).

Profile:

  1. Qualified by experience in a similar position within Trade and Corporate Finance Departments with a Trade Finance focus.
  2. Good knowledge of the Trade Finance function, including the demand side of banks and insurers.
  3. Experience in an energy and/or trading business operating in an international environment or an international bank with a focus on trade finance is considered favourably.
