Coordinate and prioritize departmental projects and workloads to ensure accurate and timely fabrication in alignment with project schedules.
Troubleshoot malfunctions in machinery and tooling equipment, and expedite repairs or replacements to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, offering technical guidance and support in resolving complex toolmaking challenges.
Oversee inspection and quality control processes, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations while maintaining the toolroom's operational efficiency to meet project demands.
Manage and maintain essential documentation related to toolroom operations, and advise the Tooling Manager on matters concerning machine acquisition, replacement, and maintenance.
Liaise and collaborate with external vendors to secure competitive quotations and ensure timely delivery of components that meet required quality standards.
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of toolroom practices, efficiency, and operational standards.
You will need:
Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
Min 1 to 2 years of relevant mould fabrication experience
