Testing Team Lead - Development

We are seeking a highly experienced Testing Team Lead to drive the software testing strategy and lead our QA function within the development department, spanning teams in Singapore and the UK. This senior role requires a proactive leader with a deep understanding of testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and modern development lifecycles.

You will be working for Trayport Pte, a leading provider of trading software solutions for energy and commodities markets. As part of our global development team, you will be responsible for managing distributed QA teams, shaping quality standards, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software products that power mission-critical trading environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of testers across multiple projects within the development lifecycle
• Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including manual, automated, performance, and regression testing
• Collaborate closely with software developers, product owners, and project managers across Singapore and the UK
• Establish quality benchmarks and continuously evolve QA processes to improve efficiency and coverage
• Review and refine test plans, test cases, and testing documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Oversee and coordinate integration, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Mentor and coach QA team members, building a high-performing and collaborative team culture
• Manage test environments, ensuring alignment with development, staging, and production configurations
• Track and report testing metrics, KPIs, and quality trends to stakeholders and leadership
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging testing tools, and technologies
• Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to embed quality into CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies for critical trading software releases
• Ensure QA alignment with regulatory, security, and compliance standards relevant to financial/trading platforms
• Promote a shift-left mindset, embedding QA earlier in the development lifecycle

Technical Requirements:

• Experienced in designing and developing automated testing frameworks of .NET applications in C#
• Experienced in load and performance testing and observability, familiar with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry and Splunk Cloud
• Experienced with building and testing cloud-native scalable globally distributed highly available trading applications using AWS EKS or similar
• Experience with integrating the automated testing and performance testing with the development and CI/CD pipeline through Azure DevOps pipelines, Kubernetes, Helm and TeamCity
