Job description

This position will start off as a 6-month contract, with the possibility of conversion to permanent.

Location:
Nanyang Technological University (At Boon Lay/Pioneer)

Responsibilities:

You will be part of the HRBP team and will partner with the School Management Team on all matters relating to HR and faculty affairs in the College of Business – Nanyang Business School.

HR Partnership

  1. Partner and engage stakeholders and employees in a proactive and consultative approach on a full spectrum of HR functions, including talent acquisition, performance management, and development.
  2. Provide professional advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation, performance management, recruitment, and rewards strategies.
  3. Partner with the HR Centre of Excellence and relevant key stakeholders in the delivery of key HR projects such as performance management and promotional exercises.
  4. Partner with the School Management in analyzing and identifying issues and providing recommendations on HR solutions.

HR Policies, Processes and Systems

  1. Initiate improvements to internal HR processes, systems, and communications towards enhancing service experience.
  2. Educate People Managers and employees on policy/system changes and implications, as well as understand and gather their feedback and input.

Operational Excellence and Support on Faculty Affairs

  1. Engage in manpower planning and projection of faculty and work with Finance Business Partners and HODs on manpower projections, budget, and costings.
  2. Establish a clear understanding of the recruitment needs and work closely with the Shared Services team and hiring managers to hire the appropriate talent on a timely basis.
  3. Plan and manage faculty re-appointment, post-retirement, re-employment, Promotion and Tenure (PT), and Educator & Practice Track Promotion Exercise (EPPE) for various faculty tracks.
  4. Assist in planning and implementing faculty performance appraisal exercises.
  5. Support in the conceptualization and implementation of faculty development initiatives.
  6. Manage onboarding and off-boarding matters.
  7. Provide support on disciplinary or grievances matters.
  8. Drive key employee initiatives such as awards and welfare matters.
  9. Any other duties as assigned.

Working Hour:

Mon - Thu: 8.30am - 5.45pm, Fri: 8.30am - 5.15pm

Salary:

$4500-$6000
