Job description

What the role is
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Engineer to join our semiconductor research and development team. In this role, you will contribute to cutting-edge research, develop innovative semiconductor technologies, and drive the future of electronics.

What you will be working on

  1. Device Design and Simulation: Design and simulate advanced semiconductor devices, including transistors, memory cells, and sensors.
  2. Process Development: Develop and optimize fabrication processes for semiconductor devices.
  3. Characterization and Testing: Characterize the electrical, optical, and mechanical properties of semiconductor devices.
  4. Failure Analysis: Investigate and analyze device failures to identify root causes and improve reliability.
  5. Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and inform research directions.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and technicians.
  7. Intellectual Property: Contribute to the development and protection of intellectual property.

What we are looking for

  1. Suitable credentials in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, device physics, and materials science.
  3. Hands-on experience with semiconductor fabrication processes, including lithography, etching, and deposition.
  4. Proficiency in semiconductor device simulation tools (e.g., TCAD).
  5. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Experience with emerging semiconductor technologies, such as III-V semiconductors, silicon photonics, or quantum computing.
  2. Knowledge of statistical data analysis and machine learning techniques.
  3. Familiarity with industry standards and specifications.
