A)

1. Be part of the technical team in the operation and maintenance of plant. Your work scope includes:

2. Coordinate maintenance work between contractors and maintenance sections to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient operations of the waste-to-energy facility.

3. Implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for the facility's electrical and control equipment such as turbo-generators, motors, switchgears, low tension and high tension equipment, distributed control system and field instruments.

4. Administer contracts for the operation and maintenance of mechanical, EICA or building services equipment.

5. Enforce permit-to-work system and safe work culture including supervising contractors’ work for quality and safety.

6. Formulate and prepare standard operating and safety procedures, equipment testing/changeover programmes.

7. Perform shift work in a waste-to-energy facility, if needed.

8. Assist engineer to implement initiatives on safety and continuous improvement to enhance the safety culture and standards within the plant, as well as drive projects to achieve operational excellence.

B)

1. Assist the engineer and supervise plant construction progress.

2. Work with project consultants and key stakeholders, such as other government agencies, on the design of the various facilities in the plant and ensure that the plant is constructed, erected, installed in accordance with design specifications and complying with statutory requirements.

3. Participate in the testing, commissioning of mechanical, process, or electrical, instrument, control and automation equipment/systems.

4. Attend factory acceptance tests (FATs) at local and overseas factories to witness and verify quality and performance of major equipment/systems.

Qualifications:

1. Diploma in any Engineering course or Nitec in any Engineering course.

2. For Diploma holders, preferably with 3 years of relevant working experience.

3. For Nitec holders, preferably with 6 – 8 years of relevant working experience.

4. Candidates with professional certification e.g. Licensed Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant Certificate, Workplace Safety Health Officer, will be given preference.

5. Good technical background and strong analytical skills.

6. Proficient in Microsoft Office, and preferably in Navisworks and Primavera P6.

7. Mature, independent, resourceful, and a good team player.

8. Good interpersonal communication skills.

9. Able to work in waste-to-energy facilities.

10. Able to perform rotating shift work over public holidays and weekends if necessary.
