Technical Support Officer – Greenhouse and Agritech

Working Location: Woodlands

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5:30pm

Salary: Gross up to $2500 per month

Responsibilities:

• Support the operation and facilities of Greenhouse, Glasshouse and Agriculture Technology Labs which house various plant growth systems such as vertical plane cultivation systems, nutrient film technique systems, hydroponics systems, Mobile Gully System, dutch bucket, growbag, rolling bench, etc.
• Responsible for plant handling, seeding, harvesting, monitoring and controlling plant nutrition.
• Monitor the health of all plants, including watering, trimming and fertilizing.
• Monitor greenhouse and glasshouse environment and system conditions while assisting with the collection of environmental and production data.
• Maintain equipment and tools.
• Liaise with external vendors for facility and equipment maintenance.
• Conduct inventory of plants, facility consumables, and equipment.
• Perform administrative duties like processing lab requests and purchasing items.
• Prepare practical teaching materials for projects, practicals, workshops and events.
• Assist in conducting guided tours for visitors to the facilities.
• Work on weekends or public holidays to resolve issues within the facility when required.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Horticulture/Agricultural/Agricultural Science/Urban Agricultural Technology.
• Experience with outdoor farming, mushroom cultivation, and cricket farming is a bonus.
• Good mechanical skills are a plus.
• A team player who is flexible and adaptable in their approach to work.
