Technical Support Engineer

• To use technical data in the expansion of our Engineering Plastics business in ASEAN
• To investigate the mechanical and physical properties of Engineering Plastics by using scientific instruments in new plastic application developments.
• Analysis of technical support and carry out data validation for Company spec-in to customers' complex parts design
• Conduct evaluation of mechanical, thermal (UTM, impact tester, MFR & etc.), and chemical properties under specified conditions for new application development
• Carry out aftermarket failure analysis using various operating machines (FT-IR, SEM, DSC & etc.) to maintain existing business
• Provide technical support to the factory QC team in inquiries related to Company production process technology
• Responsible for quality engineering as well as providing support to incoming and in-process quality operations.
• Assist in the set-up of laboratory equipment including routine maintenance and safety checks
• As part of ISO 17025 committee members maintain QMS and carry tests according to ISO conditions
• Carry out standard laboratory procedures under supervision.
• Application development, explanation to customers and company product line-up, Grade introduction Data collection for customer technical issues/customer unique inquiry
• CAE parts design proposal with Company and Injection molding condition support and advice

Requirements:

• Diploma, Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Polymer Science or any related discipline
• Knowledge in Polymer / Plastics preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in plastics injection molding and experience in laboratory analysis for plastics or chemicals
• Preferred familiarization of injection molding technology and analytic technology
• FT-IR, SEM, DSC, TGA operation experience, or any other type of analysis experience
• Knowledge of CAE analysis or Pro-E will be an advantage
• Previous exposure to Laboratory analysis equipment will be an advantage
• Travel within Southeast Asia (ad hoc) as and when needed
• Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint presentation will be an advantage.
