Job description

Allied Container Group is a leading logistics and supply chain management company headquartered in Singapore. With almost 50 years of experience, Allied Container Group provides logistics solutions to businesses of all sizes, ranging from transportation management for container haulage and yard operations to warehousing, distribution and freight forwarding. Our in-house tech team is dedicated to using technology and artificial intelligence to improve the company’s operations and beyond, via software and hardware means.

As part of our IT team, the Technical Sales Executive will create solutions-driven strategies that align with our company's offerings and meet the needs of our target clients.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales and Client Growth with Metrics: Develop and manage client relationships, identify IT needs, and deliver tailored technical solutions to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets in Singapore and broader international markets, contributing to overall revenue growth.
  • Provide Comprehensive Technical Expertise (Pre- and Post-Sales): Conduct thorough needs assessments and technical evaluations, provide pre-sales technical consultation, conduct compelling product demonstrations, address technical queries, and deliver post-sales support, ensuring clients understand and benefit from our solutions across diverse international markets.
  • Manage Sales Process and Maintain Accurate Records: Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, close deals, and meticulously maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using spreadsheets. Consistently achieve sales objectives across all assigned territories.
  • Stay Informed, Network, and Provide Direct Support: Keep up-to-date with the latest IT trends and regional market specifics, attend industry events, network effectively, and provide direct client support to ensure satisfaction across all territories.

Requirements

  • Proven IT Sales Experience: A documented track record of success in IT sales, specifically within technical sales or solution selling, with 2 - 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Expertise and Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT products, systems, and services, with specific knowledge in Logistics, Trading, HR, and Accounting industries (or a combination thereof).
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise explanations, and a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred, demonstrating a solid foundation of relevant knowledge.
  • Self-Motivation and Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work independently, while also effectively collaborating as part of a team, and a high level of self-motivation.

Remuneration

  • Basic Salary
  • Performance-based commission

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:30pm

  • Lavender Office (20 Penhas Road)
