Technical Proposal Lead

Job Description

1. Understand and review the bid documents. Support the Sales department in the RFQ process, preparing technical BOM quotations.
2. Ensure BOM is prepared in line with the Company’s quality procedures with clear information/details.
3. Prepare technical offers including deviations, clarifications, and important notes.
4. Allocate jobs to the team as a leader and ensure the team supports the Sales department in the RFQ process.
5. Plan and monitor the day-to-day RFQ to ensure smooth progress and meet deadlines.
6. Guide and train the team about technical aspects as well as the company mission, vision, and values.
7. Ensure sourced components are supported through close collaboration with Procurement from a technical perspective.
8. Design and develop Junction Boxes, Power Distribution Boards, Control Panels, and other Bartec products for Hazardous Areas.
9. Attend to client’s technical queries during the project execution phase.
10. Prepare GA, SLD, and schematic diagrams when required.
11. Ensure BOM list is complete and correct on GAD drawings and in the ERP System.
12. Ensure design is in accordance with Bartec standards.
13. Supervise works, conduct quality inspections, and maintain quality records and documents as per ISO standards.
14. Prepare and attend to client’s inspection and testing requirements/FAT of the job in hand when required.
15. Work closely with the document controller to prepare, compile, and submit project documentation.
16. Coordinate work with other disciplines, offices, and project team members.
17. Ensure that the Company’s interests are always maintained within the project while fostering a positive client relationship.
18. Visit project sites as required.
19. Other ad-hoc duties deemed necessary by the company.

Job Requirements:

1. Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
2. Good fundamentals of Electrical Safety and Area Classification.
3. Good knowledge of Explosion Proof and Flame Proof, IP protection Class.
4. Good knowledge of Electrical Instruments and Protection Systems.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, AutoCAD, Inventor, SAP, etc.
