Technical Officer (Clinical Engineering)

You are required to perform duties for a broad scope and complexity of biomedical and scientific equipment relating to preventive maintenance and breakdown services, also to ensure patient safety and safe usage of biomedical and scientific equipment through maintenance, testing, calibrating, and repairing.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

1. Performing and completing scheduled preventive maintenance jobs for biomedical and scientific equipment by following manufacturer's instructions and checklist.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns jobs for biomedical and scientific equipment by following manufacturer's instructions.
3. Troubleshooting and assisting user department on NGEMR related issues for biomedical and scientific equipment.
4. Ordering and expediting parts orders for breakdowns jobs.
5. Ensuring scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdowns jobs for biomedical and scientific equipment are completed within KPI or reasonable timeframe with justification provided.
6. Liaising with user department, biomedical and scientific equipment vendors ensuring impact to user’s operations are minimized.
7. Assisting user department on their biomedical and scientific equipment inventory.
8. Attending technical training on biomedical and scientific equipment arranged by Training Coordinator.
9. Understand IT, Cybersecurity and EMR Integration related matters for biomedical and scientific equipment.

1. Engineering Diploma + 2 years working experience or Engineering NITEC (National Institute of Technical Education Certificate) + 6 years working experience. Fresh graduate with Engineering Diploma may also be considered.
2. Possesses technical knowledge and experience in preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance for medical devices.
3. Knowledge in IT, Cybersecurity and EMR Integration for biomedical and scientific equipment will be an advantage.
