Technical Delivery Manager / Domain Architect - Finance

Job Description:

Job Objectives

We are presently seeking candidates for the position of Technical Delivery Manager, who can also support Domain Architect functionality. This role is to engage in various projects for strategizing the solution and perform impact assessments for Finance Technology Systems.

Job Responsibility

  1. Working closely with stakeholders to develop practical domain roadmaps to move the enterprise towards the future state vision, while taking into account business, technical and delivery constraints.
  2. Analyzing stakeholder requirements, current state architecture, and gaps to create a future state architecture vision for one or more parts of the enterprise with a focus on reduced complexity, cost efficiencies, reuse, reduced risk and/or improved business capabilities.
  3. Reviewing application design, problem tickets and incidents to propose short term and long term resolutions to fit with the domain roadmap.
  4. Guiding and challenging the project on architecture and design decisions.
  5. Governing the technical debt of the domain.
  6. Reviewing non-functional requirements and proposed architecture changes to anticipate evolving non-functional requirements.
  7. Developing architecture principles and standards.
  8. Communicating the principles, standards, vision and roadmaps to stakeholders and proactively addressing any questions/concerns identified.
  9. Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders in both business and IT to assist in defining and delivering high quality solutions.
  10. Providing thought leadership on architectural or other topics.
  11. Embedding Platform Thinking in everything.

  6. Possess strong understanding of business strategies and able to translate them into concrete achievable action plans.
  7. Able to collaborate and drive motivation across a diverse slate within and across teams and can deal with difficult conversations effectively.
  8. Owns and enhances workflows and processes, and delegates with clear accountabilities across the teams to meet objectives/outcomes.
  9. Promotes an environment of learning and development. Understand and develop team members and others to achieve their professional growth.

Technical Skills & Experience

  1. At least 10 years of overall experience. I am flexible in this; to consider candidates with lower years of experience, if they are good.
  2. Worked in a technical domain architect role will be a huge advantage.
  3. Analytical skills.
  4. Presentation skills both verbally and in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  5. Experience in delivering mission-critical, enterprise-scale IT solutions, both in-house built and 3rd party vendor products.
  6. Familiarity with one or more formal Architecture frameworks/methodologies (TOGAF, Zachman, BIAN, etc.).
  7. Practical experience in data modeling, object modeling, design patterns and Enterprise Architecture tools or other software modeling tools.
  8. Familiarity with heterogeneous technology platforms such as Unix/Linux, Windows.
  9. Familiarity with best practice methodologies and tools for the entire solution lifecycle from ideation to requirements, design, development, testing, deployment and operations.

Functional Expertise:

  1. Implementation/Maintenance experience in Finance/Risk/Regulatory systems.
  2. Knowledge on transaction data models, interface patterns and external integrations.
  3. Ability to understand banking products, familiar with regulatory requirements and propose functional enhancements as a roadmap for the bank.

Education

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar domain.
  2. Related professional/technical qualification will be advantageous although not mandatory.
