Technical Accounting Manager

Description

As a Technical Accounting Manager, you will:

1. Report to the Head of Finance, ensure compliance to IFRS, and stay abreast of reporting requirements.
2. Set up accounting policies and governance, leading implementation across the Group.
3. Support pre-IPO discussions, reviewing IFRS treatment relating to share-based compensation and revenue recognition topics.
4. Act as the key liaison between external stakeholders e.g., auditors to ensure statutory compliance and resolve accounting-related matters, advising on complex accounting issues.
5. Prepare technical papers on complex accounting subjects.
6. Provide periodic training/seminars to finance teams locally and regionally on changes to accounting treatment and other emerging topics.

Profile

1. Degree in Finance and Accounting, CA qualified, with at least 10 years of working experience.
2. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS application, with experience in either commercial setups and/or professional accounting firms.
3. Hands-on experience with the preparation of technical papers from scratch.
4. A combination of working experience with MNCs and startups will be highly advantageous.
5. Able to work independently, possessing good stakeholder management and presentation skills to conduct training for both finance and non-finance members.
