Tech Infra - Infrastructure Engineer

Performance Objectives:

1. Demonstrate Expert level product knowledge for IBM Spectrum Protect solutions and competitive solutions
2. Perform billable services engagements, including installation/implementation of IBM Spectrum Protect
3. Conduct Technical Training and educate Operations Team on IBM Spectrum Protect solutions and storage management
4. Support 24/7 shift

Requirements:

1. At least 5 years of proven technical experience in TSM
2. Willingness to travel within your defined geography

Required Skills - Technical and Non Technical:

1. In-depth Knowledge on:
1. IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Server on Windows & UNIX
2. TSM Server and Client Options
3. IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Database (Oracle, DB2, SQL etc)
4. IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Mail (Domino and Exchange)
5. IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for VMware
6. NDMP Backup using IBM Tivoli Storage Manager
7. DRM Implementation and Management using Tivoli Storage Manager
8. Veritas Netbackup BAU operations for VM backup and recovery
2. Knowledge on Tape Libraries and LTO Tape Drives
3. Audit application backup policies and environments
4. Desired Operating System Skills
5. Responsibilities include providing remote and onsite support
6. Analyze and resolve escalated problems within target
7. Problem Determination & analysis skills
8. TSM Product skills on OS - Windows, AIX, Solaris, Linux (basic Unix), DB2 and networking

Other Skills:

1. Good Communication (Oral & Written) skills are essential
2. Experience in managing Junior/Senior support personnel
3. Ability to quickly analyze & diagnose problems
